The purpose of this scheme was to create a modular housing project on the roof of the Tempelhof. We opted to create a scheme organised around a traditional market square where members of this rooftop community could trade with one another. It also took inspiration from the Tempelhof itself as a place to house displaced refugees until they could be moved into the city proper and join the wider community of Berlin.
